5. What is the possibile result of interaction of topaz with the above medications?

- Clozapine

These medicines may increase the body temperature and decreases sweating. This interaction is more common is children. Any symptoms of increase in the body temperature and decreased sweating should be informed to the dcotor.

-Metformin

These medicines may increase the risk of lactic acidosis. Inform the doctor if you are receiving antidiabetic medications. Seek immediate medical treatment if you have any symptoms of weakness, muscle pain, vomiting and irregular heartbeat.

-Ethinyl Estradiol

The desired effect of contraceptive pills will not achieve if these medicines are taken together. Suitable dose adjustments or an alternate medicine should be considered based on the clinical condition.

Topaz 25 MG Tablet belongs to anticonvulsant. It works by blocking sodium channels and increases the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) which is an inhibitory neurotransmitter and thus reduces the excitation of the brain cells.
